Installing Joomla CDN

For 2.5.6 or higher

  1. Install the Joomla CDN plugin by downloading package from: http://download.nonumber.nl/?ext=cdnforjoomla&v=2.0.0 for version 2.0.0 which is compatible with php 5.2+. For newer version (2.2) follow this link: http://download.nonumber.nl/?ext=cdnforjoomla&v=2.1.2.
  2. Login to your Joomla Administrator Panel, hover over “Extensions”, click “Extension Manager”. Then next to the “Upload Package File” box, click “Browse”, select the plugin archive, and click “Upload & Install”.
  3. After the installation is complete, again hover on “Extensions”, click “Plugin Manager”, and find “System – CDN for Joomla!”. Click on it to setup the plugin.
  4. Leave the “Site Root” value as it is, in the “CDN Domain” section, put in your CDN URL, for example (http://foo.bar.netdna-cdn.com), then click “Save & Close”.
All done! You are now officially using CDN service. You can check if your URLs are being rewritten to CDN URLs by loading the page and viewing the source code of the page.

Important note:

The Free version of the CDN For Joomla plugin does NOT support HTTPS. If you need HTTP Support, you need to buy the paid version from nonumber.nl.
